HAY DRIVE

More than half of residents need hay and it’s one of the largest yearly expenses here at the refuge. Here in Colorado, it’s very important to make sure we are stocked up and ready with such an unpredictable growing season. You can help us purchase this important staple with a smaller donation to feed a resident for a day, or give more to feed everyone. Large round bales cost $175 each and a small square bale $10!

PICKLES knows…

That we go through 65 bales of hay and 40 bales of straw on average every month.

Hay & straw is essential

Our residents not only eat hay but straw is important for warmth and comfort in the animal shelters.
