Ciao,
Rosalina & Teddy here, but you can call me Rosie for short. Teddy is a little bit shy. So, I will do the talking.
It is so nice to meet you. We are so happy to be at the Good Life Refuge and for all that you humans have done to bring us here. Many people rallied together to get us transported to Colorado so we could get to safety. We love you all so much for that. Our upbringing wasn’t great to say the least. It was so bad that the community came together to get the place we called home closed down.
You know, usually farm animals like us don’t have much protection from abuse, but the people in our neighborhood were just so fed up about the situation on our farm. They even called our human a hoarder. So one day, the people from Animal control came over and loaded all of us, me and Teddy included, up and brought us to this holding facility. We had to be quarantined, because many of us were really sick. We saw so many of our friends die there as it was too late to help them recover. Only eight of us survived the whole ordeal and 14 of our friends passed away during the state quarantine. It was so sad and traumatizing.
Then this lady from another sanctuary helped us to find a home at the Good Life Refuge. She even transported us from Indiana to the Good Life Refuge in the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic. It was scary at first to be at a new place, but the humans here are treating us well. They took us to this place called CSU to be looked at because we were full of parasites, had pneumonia and Teddy had an old abscess on his hoof. We felt so much better after treatment and we never have to be hungry again.
Our hay feeder is always full, we have a big pasture to graze on and we get yummy snacks twice a day. I love human attention and Teddy started to trust humans again too. We found a safe haven here at the refuge and it is all because of your donations and support!
We love You!
